Laser Technology in Our Manhattan Dentistry

Our New York City dental office uses a diode laser on soft tissue, for teeth whitening and for TMJ pain management.  The diode laser is excellent for bloodless trimming of gum tissue.  It comes in handy when our top dentist needs to change the shape of a patient’s gum tissue.  The dentist uses a diode laser in advanced procedures to prevent gum surgery.  It aides in cleaning deep pockets and helps to kill disease-causing bacteria.  The laser light does not cut the gums.  Instead, it vaporizes the top layer of gum tissue with the laser light.  This is both painless and bloodless.
